Travertine

In this villa located just a few meters from the sea, Classic Travertine was chosen as the primary stone material, selected for its excellent technical performance in humid environments and its aesthetic compatibility with the Mediterranean architectural style.

The travertine, with a honed, open-pore finish, has been applied in different areas:

• Interior and exterior flooring: a combination of multi-format tiles and single-format tiles.
• Stairs and steps: custom-machined treads and risers with beveled edges.
• Shower trays: custom-made in a single piece, incorporating a recess for water drainage.

The use of travertine as the sole stone material has reinforced the aesthetic coherence of this project, providing a fresh, natural, thermally stable, and low-maintenance solution. Furthermore, its natural origin and low carbon footprint in the manufacturing process make it a suitable option for meeting sustainability criteria applied to contemporary design.
